Well when two internet marketing companies with two great tool sets start fighting each other, it makes the news. If you use BrightEdge or Searchmetrics you might want to read this because the two companies are doing a tug of war over some SEO tool patents.

Sending Out an SOS: How to Avoid SEO Disaster
There are a bunch of SEO beginner guides out there, but usually you need a solid day to read through it all. This short (yes…short) article is probably the best SEO beginner’s guide I’ve seen. It’s straight to the point, covers a ton of topics, and even points you in the right direction to learn more on your own. For those of us who have been doing this for years the article won’t cover anything new, but if you have a new employee and you should have them read this.

Avoiding #SochiProblems and Other Olympic SEO Lessons
The Sochi Olympics invaded everything from our TVs to cereal boxes, the one thing I never thought I would see is the Olympics invading the SEO industry. Now that I think about it, it makes sense, the Olympics invaded the internet too, but still it’s just not something you would think match up. Anyways this article doesn’t quite reach its potential; doesn’t use any solid SEO examples, but instead uses generic faults at Sochi to talk about generic SEO problems.
